Account Deletion Guide
How to Delete Your Peaceful Account
We're sorry to see you go. You can delete your Peaceful account and all associated data using either of the methods below.
Option 1: Delete In-App (Recommended)
- Open the Peaceful app on your device
- Tap the "Profile" tab at the bottom of the screen
- Scroll down to the "Account" section
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Read the confirmation message carefully
- Tap "Permanently Delete Account" to confirm
- Your account will be deleted immediately
Option 2: Email Request (If You Can't Access the App)
If you cannot access the Peaceful app, you can request account deletion via email:
We will process your request and delete your account within 48 hours.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your Peaceful account, we permanently delete the following data immediately:
- Your profile information (name and email address)
- Your subscription history and payment information
- Your meditation progress and statistics
- Your saved preferences and settings
- Your usage history and activity data
- Your favorites and bookmarked meditations
This data is deleted IMMEDIATELY and CANNOT be recovered. This action is permanent and irreversible.
Data Retention (Legal Requirements)
For legal and tax compliance purposes, we retain:
- Transaction records: Kept for 7 years for subscription refunds, disputes, and tax compliance
- Anonymized analytics data: Aggregated usage statistics that cannot identify you personally
Important: All personal identifiers (name, email, user ID) are removed from any retained data. The retained data cannot be linked back to you.
After Deletion
Once your account is deleted:
- ✓ You will receive a confirmation email
- ✓ You will be immediately signed out of the app
- ✓ You can create a new account anytime with the same email address
- ✓ Any active subscriptions will be canceled (no refunds for remaining time)
